What the Survivors' Areas Do at Long Times?
نویسنده
چکیده
We investigate the long time behavior of the survivors' area in the scaling state of two dimensional soap froth. We relate this problem to the recently studied temporal decay of the fraction of Potts spins that have never been ipped till time t. The results of our topological simulations are consistent with the value = 1 for the scaling exponent of the survivors' areas, in agreement with a recently obtained analytical result. We nd, however, that the relaxation time needed to get into the scaling regime depends on the degree of randomness in the topological rearrangements and becomes very large in the deterministic limit.

متن کاملComparing Symptoms of Post-Polio Syndrome in Athlete and Non-Athlete Poliomyelitis Survivors
Purpose: Long term effects of poliomyelitis are known in many countries. Despite no definite label for these signs and symptoms, there is a remarkable similarity among patients with regard to description of the problems and complications of the disease. In this study, we compared the prevalence of symptoms of Post-Polio Syndrome (PPS) in athlete and non-athlete poliomyelitis survivors. Methods...

The management of irreparable rotator cuff tears remains challenging. Since its introduction by Mihata in 2012, superiorcapsule reconstruction (SCR) has grown in popularity at an astonishingly rapid rate. The aim of this article is to providea comprehensive review of the available literature, in order to highlight what has so far been published on SCR,covering all aspects including biomechanica...
متن کاملO8: The Importance of Promoting Talent in all Students
The educational system is designed for some students’ kind of minds (e.g., those with strengths in attention, memory, language, social skills), for others, it is a daily struggle. Unfortunately, the academic setting rarely accounts for this variability. Regardless, at some point in time (for whatever reason), almost all students “hit a wall” (or face a challenge) which can mak...
